"Before the year is out.

The droughts, frosts, fires and floods cycle, a bit like the boom and bust cycle, is the basic weather cycle.

Frightened of Curiosity?

Frightened of Curiosity?

In his iconic 1964 book, Donald Horne described Australia as ‘a lucky country run mainly by second-rate people who share its luck’.
He went on to say that we ‘live on other people’s ideas’ and that ‘most of our leaders (in all fields ) so lack curiosity about the events that surround them that they are often taken by surprise.

With the advent of the Howard government in 1996, the LNP went out of its way to suppress any curiosity in Australia.
As a result, we have elected three LNP prime ministers in a row that have shown almost no curiosity at all in conditions experienced by the man in the street.
An extra bonus with this policy is having no idea on how to solve problems that now face the nation.

in the last 12 months we have faced a number of crisis, the drought, bushfires, floods, economic recession, covid-19 and the current round of La Nina weather systems, just to name a few.

The current federal government has reacted to each of these crisis with the same decision making process.

Firstly "do nothing" until they have been forced into a decision and every time placing a bullshit press release to make them seem good.

Secondly "promise" to spend taxpayers dollars to help out. Usually in the billions
